Cool de Sac, the international chain of children’s entertainment center finally opened its doors in Singapore, Suntec City.

We chanced upon this play area on the first day of our school holidays. Even though my kids are past the age of jungle gym, they were hanging out with their 3-year-old cousin. So we went ahead and checked it out. Admission fees were very reasonable for unlimited playtime.

Weekdays: $10 (1 month to 2 years old), $20 (3 – 12-year-olds)
Weekdays: $13 and $26 respectively on weekends.

As soon as you enter, you see a spacious area with shoe cabinets, lockers and pram storage space on your left. Socks are a must for both adults and kids. Not to worry if you forgot yours, you can purchase a pair at a very minimal price.

On entry, you will see a large and secure zone called The Play Area with exciting slides and fun areas to explore.

Opposite the slides is THE Tree House – A fun way to explore nature safely indoors.  The Tree House was not ready for us to play when we visited, but it had the promise of a lot of fun for the kids!

In the middle is the Creative Centre with Arts And Blocks for the little ones to develop their creativity and boost their self-confidence. A sprawling expanse of space inside… In the foreground is a art and craft area where you can doodle, draw, or be as creative as you want to be.Cool de Sac (16)

Further in, you have drawing boards in little human shapes; colored chalks are readily available – use your imagination. How adorable that they are about the height of your kids.

Not much of a drawer, how about building up with Lego on the other side of the chalkboard?

Back Stage – Dress Up, Lights, Camera & Action!

Yea! The little girls have a section where they have their nails painted and they dressed up in different characters and model for their mommies. They can even get a face paint or tattoo if they like. This is easily the most popular section for the girls. Look how patient they are waiting for their turns. There’s even a stage and props to release the diva in your little girl. Smile for the camera!

TWEENS

For the boys and perhaps the tweens (10 to 12-year-old), this is the station where most of them congregate. It always amazes me how boys naturally have a six sense where the gadgets are and how quickly boys who are strangers to each other can quickly bond over a TV screen and video games.  That’s my son seated with his game console. He will be parked there for a while, which frees up my time to hang out with his sister.

If you have very young kids, there is a special area for them. Padded and filled with large stimulation cubes and other soft educational toys, this is the perfect area for your baby or toddler to crawl, stumble or practice his mobility skills.

What I love about Cool De Sac is that if you have kids of different ages, this is the best place to bring them to hang out. Cool De Sac is located at 3 Temasek Boulevard, Suntec City Mall, #02-379/380, Singapore 038983. Contact them at this number 6337 0205 for parties or information. Also, check out Bistro Cool located inside the entertainment center for your hunger needs.
