Amos Ang, a father who attended the camp last year shares:
“It was little moments like discovering we have the same love language, and Nathan asking how my wife and I met, that I really appreciate. As men, we usually engage in activities together – but at Adventure with Dad, we were ‘forced’ to engage at a level that we were not comfortable with.
I found out how important it was for him to have me listen, and to allow him to make his own decisions – even if it meant him making a decision I knew would have results that could only go downhill. What was really special to me was hearing that Nathan wants to do it again.”
For those not comfortable with outdoor camping, this is not your convention camp. Tents will be provided at the camp for each father-son pair, however you may bring sleeping bags for your personal comfort. There will also be sufficient and proper showering facilities available at The Float. Do bring along some simple toiletries. A packing list will be provided once registrations are submitted and processed. All meals will be provided over the course of the 1.5 days. The food is not Halal certified but does not contain pork or lard, and vegetarian meals will be available upon request.
